Steamers Cafe - Wiltshire

What a great train station Café. Certainly the first that I have seen promoting local bacon or free range eggs. Clearly these guys are trying to make a difference. The coffee I had was delicious and not bitter. The porridge was unusual and a change from the norm

I am by no means a coffee snob, however, the coffees I have had here on multiple day has just been dreadful. My wife's tea wasn't much better to be honest. But it's a lovely warm calm environment waiting for the train so the quality of the goods doesn't really come into it. Like I said in the title it serves a purpose.

Christmas is celebrated at this cafe, which offers excellent coffee and tastefully presented food to start your day. The festive decorations add a pleasant touch to early mornings. The prices are reasonable and the staff greets you with smiles and a warm welcome. This cafe is definitely worth a visit, located just outside Chippenham train station with easy access from inside as well.

I stopped in for a coffee and a bacon, egg, and sausage sandwich made with free-range, locally sourced ingredients. It was excellent and I will definitely be coming back again.

Whenever you know you need a friendly face, a fine bacon and egg butty, and a decent hot drink, while waiting for a train on a miserable day, then Chippenham's train station cafe can save you! Wonderful service, efficient and professional, with a genuine smile, even some banter.
