Bidra med feedbackBreakfast and the Apple Blossom is conveniently located right off the Interstate, making it easy to access. On this particular weekday morning, there weren't many patrons, which allowed for quick service; my coffee was consistently refilled, and my breakfast was served promptly. I didn't bother looking at the menu, opting instead for my usual: a cheese omelet and home fries. It didn't take long for my order to come up, and then I heard the toaster pop—perhaps not the best timing. The omelet was flavorful and well-prepared, packed with plenty of cheese, which was delightful. However, the home fries were a bit unusual; they had a mushy texture that I found strange. I'm not sure what they were going for with that, but it wasn't to my liking—though it might appeal to others. The meal was very affordable and satisfying. This is classic diner food, so sticking to the traditional choices is a wise move.
This diner may be a bit tucked away, but it offers a spacious setting where you can enjoy tasty food quickly. The booths are super comfortable, and they serve a fantastic cup of coffee along with homemade desserts after your meal! It used to be a Shoney's, so perhaps some people haven’t realized it’s still here. Don't miss out on this gem!
Gus is serving up some fantastic home-cooked meals! He even stopped by the counter to check on our orders. He recommended the cherry cheesecake, and let me tell you—OMG, it was incredible! Why bother with a national chain when you can enjoy excellent food and wonderful conversation at this charming diner? Our server, Hope, was fantastic. She was very attentive, and her lovely smile was a delightful bonus. I've attached pictures of my cherry pie and Andy's Cobb salad for you to see!
The Good: The deserts are great. The Greek offerings are pretty good if nothing special. The prices are OK. The Bad: The service is sketchy sometimes I think because they don't have enough servers or cooks when it gets busy. Sometimes the servers are openly bitter and you can hear them scrapping with the kitchen staff. The Ugly: Having food set in front of you that you didn't order and then listening to the server swear up and down that its what you ordered even though other people at your table heard you clearly order something else. When this happens check with nearby tables as most likely you have their order and they will get yours brought to them. Also, audit your bill closely because if you ordered it and never received it you will still get charged for it maybe even something ordered at another nearby table.
We've gone to the diner now a few times for dinner. The food is usually pretty good, but the service is somewhat lagging. The waitresses are usually pretty nice, but it usually takes them a while to come around to get the drink orders, and there have been a couple times where we waited and waited, and finally had to ask who our server was. Then someone would come up and get our order. I don't know if they don't decide on table sections, and just go in order or what, but waiting ten minutes to get an iced tea isn't ideal. Once the food comes, you won't see the waitresses very much either. We usually have had to flag someone down to get the checque. We like the food, we like the location, but there are other places we can eat that will have better service.
