Great outdoor brewery Spicy margarita is interesting but not enough tequila Friendly staff

Came here with a small group and overall it was good. The beer garden is a nice outdoor spot that attracts a lot of people. The strong point is the beer list, it contains a couple dozen brews of all kinds with many local craft beers. Something for everyone. If the beer is the strong point then the food needs to catch up. The few items we had were mediocre at best. The bruschetta, fries, grilled artichokes just didn't have much flavor. Jaded Toad is a good place to knock back a few but journey somewhere else for food.

3.5 stars. When we walked in here early one Saturday morning, they weren 't open yet. But we saw the bartenders who saw our group of 6 and decided to open up just for us so they could serve us some alcohol. Not many places will do that but these guys were nice enough to see that we were from out of town and wanted to do a little pre-drinking before hitting up the wineries in the area. LIke I 've said before, I 'm not much of an alcohol drinker but since my friends are, they were quite happy. So why only the 3.5 stars? One of the employees convinced us that they had the best baby back ribs for dinner. All of us perked up immediately and said that we would be back for dinnertime. After a long day of wine tasting, we were seated in the patio area and had a long bench to ourselves. We were looking forward to these famous baby back ribs that they specifically told us to come back for. So before I talk about those, let 's start off with the appetizers: Sweet and Sexy Sweet Potato Fries: Topped with Bacon and drizzled with brown sugar glaze- These were just okay- nothing sexy about them. They were just a tad sweeter than normal sweet potato fries and the bacon made them a little better. Baked Mac and Cheese: Blend of Cheddar, Jack, Bleu and Parmesan topped with bacon, tomatoes and bread crumbs. While you can 't go wrong with Mac and Cheese, this was probably the best thing we ordered that night. It was creamy, rich and full of flavor. Baby Back Ribs (with House sauce : With all the hype, I was expecting spectacular. After passing around the plate and taking a piece, I took a bite and my first thought was This is it? I 've tasted much better elsewhere. (Hello Texas Roadhouse!! Sure, it was tender but the sauce tasted like any other barbecue sauce that was slightly sweet. Nothing special about it.

The manager on duty today, strawberry blonde, maybe named kevin? (7:30 PM July 28th was extremely rude. We wanted to buy a round of drinks before the rest of our group showed up and he refused to serve us at the bar. He said this in a very mean way and just kept repeating himself (X will serve you, go sit over there. After we sat and ordered, the waitress forgot to ring in a drink after charging the card and ran it again (3 of us manage restaurants, 9/10 times i would comp this drink, especially after an issue he stared at us from behind the bar our entire visit and was talking to the servers about us, making gestures towards us, etc. He made us extremely uncomfortable, we probably would have stayed a few rounds and would of came back next time we were in town if it weren't for him.

Very nice experience chillin at bar with Alex. Knows his stuff that's for sure with beers. Had fries and they were delicious! Look forward to next time.
