The Grillhouse And Sand At Pelican Lakes

I was pleased with my dining experience at this restaurant. The setting is always wonderful, whether you choose to dine inside or outside. However, my favorite spot is the deck, which offers stunning views of the mountains, sea, and golf course. Unfortunately, I was somewhat disappointed with the food. Our calamari was cooked twice, but it never reached the crispy, golden brown perfection we expected. I think adding some fun summer drink specials would complement the beautiful surroundings nicely.

The restaurant has a lovely and sophisticated ambiance, with exceptional service.

The food, drinks, ambiance, and service were all incredible. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We sat in the bar and our waitress was our bartender. the food was good, but I ordered a martini and when it came, it only filled half the glass. I asked our server if this was normal and she immediately got an employment and seemed upset and said yes. I noticed a table near ours, who had one martini made by another bartender, was full. the bartender handed us over to the 2nd bartender/growth that had a big job. when we got the bill, we were charged for the $18.50 1/2 martini. I was upset at the price and asked our new waitress about it. they said they want to be a restaurant with a higher end. I don't see we going back.

We timed dining here with the sunset and dined outside to watch the sun dip behind the Rockies. Our party of 4 ordered off the $95 menu for 2 where you get a shared appetizer, entree and each get a side item. So we all tried different things and sampled from one another. Incredibly, I'd order everything again. The smoked tri-tip and smoked wings (the whole wing) were excellent. We really loved the brussel sprouts and the creamy corn jalapeno side dish. The thick cut salmon slab was cooked perfectly. The porch chop paired with the mushroom demi glas was superb. Fresh pumpernickel style bread was also served. If I had to critique anything it would be that it was a little difficult to eat the salad out of the serving bowl they put it in. Service was slow due to a shortage of servers but we got our beers and the food was served hot. Lilly was very happy to serve us. Yes it was a pricey dinner but you get what you pay for and dinner overlooking the lake and the Rockies in the distance is a memorable view. I'd go back again.
