Bidra med feedbackThis is one of those little places you MUST visit when in Detroit/metro area, it just is! It's a cozy little place with truely home-made dishes, great portions and no skimping on the meats either. Great atmosphere, be yourself and enjoy the surroundings! Next time you come out there, bring a couple friends so they can brag about TOAST!! Parking: Small lot behind Toast, parking on their street and usually next door as the business are closed.
My husband and I hadn't been to Toast in over 5 years. We were glad this was our Sunday selection. Everything was fantastic from the hostess to our server, and the food was delectable!! I had the parisian omelet with hashbrowns and cinnamon challah...DELICIOUS ? and my husband had the chicken and waffle, which he raved about how flavorful everything was and I couldn't agree more. We drank Arnold Palmer Vaca, and it was refreshing. It's definitely still high quality when it comes to dining experience in my book.
Food was a bit pricey for what was ordered..green tomatoes was a bit overcooked. service was great! I would try again
Toast has always been one of my standbys, but last time I went they automatically included service (tip). I don’t have a problem with that, except it still looks and feels like you should tip like a normal bill. It just felt very shady.
I always make a Toast stop when I’m back in town visiting, especially for the Curious George Cold Brew. It used to be so flavorful, almost like a banana bread! Unfortunately, the past two times I’ve ordered there hasn’t been much flavor at all. Today, there was no banana to be found. At almost $10 I’m so sad, this was a must-stop for me. Food and ambiance is still great though!
