New Golden Inn Restaurant - Winnipeg

Food was fresh, hot and quick. We dined in and it wasn't very busy on Sunday night. Typical Chinese decor. Server was very friendly and helpful. I guess the trick here is to come or order when they are not so busy. Lots of complaints about delivery times here. Please use common sense!

Delivery takes awhile but the food is worth it! Yummy!

Faithful because they're the best. We have been ordering from this restaurant for nearly 20 years, seriously, and they have never lapsed in quality or quantity. We always get take-out and sometimes pre-order and drive up to the Kenora cottage and with a little protection the food is STILL hot. In fact at home, it often arrives so hot one can barely handle it.<br/ <br/ We have never had a dish we didn't enjoy, the flavors are varied from robust to delicate, the spring rolls are to die for. Don't pass up their khung-po (SP? shrimp and lemon chicken. What the heck, order what you're craving it's ALL good.<br/ <br/ <br/ The restaurant itself is spartan and simple.

This is one of my absolutely favourite Chinese restaurants in Winnipeg. If I'm gonna order Chinese it's always at the top of my list. Tomorrow we are having a big family dinner and were trying to decide whether to order from New Golden Inn. Like every time we order from here the discussion came down to whether we were prepared to be ready for a 2 hour possible time period for the food to be ready. Absolutely awesome food, but completely unreliable for when said food could be ready. Will I order it again. Absolutely, but not when I'm planning a night around when it could be ready.

Big portions, great price, great quality of food and great service! Lots of options to order as well! Love it there... Just needs windows :
