Sunshine Chinese Restaurant - Winnipeg

I suppose we are considered regulars. I go at least once a month. I know some patrons are there Once a week. Ling the hotess/owner can make some great suggestion. I am now a fan of BIG THOUSAND CHICKEN. I highly recommend you try it SOON

Had high hopes based on the previous reviews, but was very underwhelmed. The sweet and sour chicken balls were like having "hot dog on a stick" as a kid and you just add a sweet and sour sauce yourself. The curry chicken had 70% onions with a couple pieces of red and green peppers and a few pieces of chicken.Saving grace was the shanghai noodles which were decent.

After walking by this place on many occasions and reading the great reviews we decided to give it a try. We tried Chop Suey, Honey garlic veal, egg rolls and a few other items. All of them were extremely flavorful and fresh tasting!! This is our new go to Chinese food restaurant. The service is also fantastic, they always make sure to repeat your order and ensure that everything you order is spot on before the is delivered/taken out.

We discovered Sunshine 2 years ago. The food is always fresh and delicious.. ..the servings very generous. The owners are lovely people. While the hot & sour soup is the best we've ever had, you can't go wrong with any of their dishes.

We ordered through Skip the Dishes. The food was great! The portions were generous and the food was of very good quality. One issue is that they don't provide free steamed rice, which is a bit unusual for Chinese takeout. Other than that, we were very happy with the food and will order from them again.
