K&w Cafeteria - Winston Salem

Thanksgiving dinner was enjoyable. Although there was a long line, it moved quickly, and I didn't have to wait long to get my food. Sitting down to eat was a great experience, and the meal was really tasty.

As always, the food and service were excellent. However, since we visited after lunch, there were only four pieces of fried chicken, and they were barely warm. My okra was cold, and so was my husband's greens. Despite that, the overall flavor of the food was delicious. It would have been a five-star experience if the food had been served hot.

Eating is always cold. Not a really good choice of main course food. It looks like it's the same menu. I asked if the Salisbury Steak had onions in it (because I am very allergic to them) and was said no. Not in meat or in horror. Now sat down and onions in it. I even told them why I asked if there's anything in there... easy to say that they took it off my bill and didn't eat it there. There was another time to get the chicken with dressing (of course I got it without dressing because of onions), and they said the cook didn't feel like doing this day. I said it is on your menu for today because I look at the menu on the line before going there. It was said for now, call first and do not go through the online menu. We left this day. Not very good. Eating is too expensive.

Absolutely outstanding! The food was served at a hotter temperature than I anticipated. The veal dish was magnificent. I also noticed a lovely Latina employee who went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction; I personally witnessed her gracefully handle a particularly difficult customer.

Four stars for the service, and attentiveness of the employees. The food was run of the mill, far, far too salty or full of sugar, and really not that great overall. Portion sizes were fine. The roast beef was just ok.
