Real Q - Winston Salem

Very disappointing! Went today and ordered a hot dog and a chopped plate. The hot dog was boiled and not grilled. I ordered it all the way and all was on it was slaw and a boiled hotdog! No onion, no chili, nothing else. The chopped was only pork and no sauce. The fries were cold. The extra sauce that was put in the bag was vinegar and a very hot spice. They increased their prices and dropped the quality of food! Go somewhere else for good barbecue. I will not be going back to that one again. Possibly will try Little Richards in Clemmons and hopefuly they did not change.

I ordered take-out from this restaurant, which is just a two-minute drive from my home. Unfortunately, the food was barely edible. It didn’t taste fresh at all, and even if it had been, it was still terrible. My son's hot dog was undercooked and came with a squished, burnt bun that was unappetizing. The onion rings were mushy, and the BBQ was far from fresh and utterly tasteless, stuffed tightly in a wrapper with a soggy bun. The only somewhat edible item were the hushpuppies, which were among the worst I've ever had. Overall, it paled in comparison to “Little Richards.” I spent $30, and if it weren't late and we didn't have three small children to get to bed who were hungry, I would have driven back to request a refund. I typically avoid writing negative reviews and just deal with it, but this experience was disappointing and needs to be addressed.

What a fantastic place! While we were away on business, we discovered this gem for lunch. All of us ordered BBQ sandwiches, and we managed to feed three people for under $25. The portion sizes were impressive, and the iced tea was wonderfully Southern, just as we had hoped. I wasn’t particularly fond of the decor, but with food this delicious and such friendly staff, it hardly mattered.

Since the management and staff changed a few months ago, the quality of the food has declined significantly. In my experiences with the new management, the barbecue is greasy, and the fries and hush puppies are often undercooked. The service is decent, but I visit a restaurant primarily for the food, not the service.

The staff is fantastic, the menu offers a wide variety of choices, and the food always meets our expectations. My family and I thoroughly enjoy dining here. With seven children, we appreciate the spacious booths, which are ideal for us. Our kids are always excited when we tell them we’re heading here for dinner! Highly recommend!
