Kotta is pinned at the end of a strip mall, just down the way from retailers like Five Below and Target. Sometimes these out of the way spots are hidden gems, but Kotta just doesn't feel that way for me. The lunch special I ordered consisted of hibachi steak, mixed veg, fried rice, sweet carrots, and a fountain drink. At $13 plus tax, it doesn't feel like much of a special in terms of cost.Prep time didn't take long, and the food arrived warm, but the size of the servings wasn't very substantial in comparison to the price. The food wasn't bad, but wasn't especially remarkable either. The mixed vegetables were limited to zucchini, onions, and maybe three small flowers of broccoli. No mushrooms? :(There are several Asian restaurants in town, including more than a few that offer good food as well as solid value. Kotta just doesn't compete with them. [In other words, go to Kimono instead.
We had a wonderful annual visit to celebrate our daughter's birthday! We always look forward to seeing Sally, the resident cat, each year too!
I placed a takeout order for nearly $40 and ended up waiting a long time. After inquiring about my order for the second time, I found out they hadn't even started preparing it, even ten minutes past the promised ready time. I have a sick child who specifically wanted some steak, and this was all he could eat. The customer service was really disappointing. It’s unfortunate because I genuinely enjoy this restaurant, and it’s a special treat for my 5-year-old and me when we go there. I would recommend not to expect timely service if you're picking up your food.
Insanely slow. Dine in is served/cooked last. Or maybe just forgotten. Small portions. Over salted. Over priced for the 20 minute wait. The homeless hanging out on the outside tables doesn’t help.
