The puff pastry here is exceptional—light, buttery, and beautifully layered with a delightful crispness. It’s a charming, family-run bakery. The establishment is tidy, although the interior is quite small, accommodating only about six people at a time. Parking is somewhat limited, with a few spots available on the street and some additional spaces at the back. While the staff wasn’t particularly warm, they were polite. Everything looked fantastic, and the three items we tried were excellent. I can’t wait to return and sample more of their offerings!

The online ordering system is a fantastic feature, displaying real-time availability of items, which I highly recommend using before your visit. Popular items tend to sell out quickly, so it’s wise to place your order ahead of time. Each savory offering, like the croissant tarts, is meticulously crafted. The mushroom tart features perfectly cooked mushrooms that burst with flavor, complemented by the smoky richness of cheddar cheese. The addition of calabrian chili to the tomato tart beautifully balances the earthy tomatoes with the aromatic cheese and buttery croissant. Among the sweet treats, the Kouign-amann is a must-try. While it appears simple, the technique and execution reveal a surprising depth of flavor that exceeds expectations from such a petite pastry. I particularly appreciate the rotating menu, which adds an element of excitement and encourages me to try something new each time I visit. The baklava croissant is an intriguing and well-executed twist on the classic dessert that I thoroughly enjoyed. This isn't my first time at this restaurant, but it's my first review, and I have to mention the BANOFFEE PIE! Everything I've ordered here has been fantastic, but this dessert was absolutely perfect. The croissant tart was also delicious—just a quick 5-second zap in the microwave warmed it up beautifully. I don't usually critique bakeries when I indulge, but I can't resist returning to Buttermilk. You just have to try it!

Best bakery in town. Freshly made pastries with the best ingredients that really comes in taste. I can't recommend this place enough. The menu changes substantially daily, with some clips usually available all the time, but you can always look forward to tasty seasonal items. Very recommended. Order early or the risk to be omitted!

This little cute, deliciously optioned bakery is everything you’d ever want. Location is awesome as well. We purchased 3 different pastries to try their range. We also purchased drip coffee and their hibiscus iced tea. O.M.G! Everything was delightful. They even made sure peanut allergies were double checked. Love it. Will return with all our friends from in and out of town. NEW FAVORITE SPOT.
