Bidra med feedbackFood is always great here. Your seafood is always fresh, regardless of the time of the year you are good. There is usually a 10-15 minutes waiting, but it is worth waiting. As you sit in your table, the table has paper table sets, cutlery and 3 warm Hushpuppies waiting for you. The server quickly takes your beverage order, follow through more Hushpuppies, and then your food order. Food comes relatively fast, it is hot and fresh. You can say it is called with love and the owners are proud of the restaurant without any doubt. The sides are great, I have the sweet potato and salad perfect size to allow with my medium-sized boiled shrimps and garlic butter. So delicious! Please do not expect fancy plates that are available. That's great, easy to clean. If you are an ice lover, the ice here is the perfect size to chew and eat without making a mess. My sister-in-laws usually visit Dixie Queen once a week, I understand why. Food is fresh, comes out relatively quickly and it is a great price.
Meals were ready to pick up when we were told, all condiments in extra bag we asked for, and the shrimp and fish cooked properly and taste great.
Terrible business practices! This restaurant shares a parking lot with another establishment I frequently visit. After their business hours, we parked in their lot, and our car was towed. Although there was a sign indicating that parking was not allowed, it still feels unreasonable. Robert Adams from KINGS TOWING did not take the car to a tow yard, but rather to an isolated, dark residential area. He demanded $260 in cash only to release our car, which was locked behind his personal fence, and he refused to provide a receipt. He was extremely rude and intimidating. As a local business owner who pays taxes and operates a physical storefront, I understand how businesses should cooperate. I will never dine at Dixie Queen again! It’s disappointing that local businesses can’t work together for the benefit of their neighbors, even for something as simple as after-hours parking. The towing issue reflects poorly on Dixie Queen, especially since they partner with Kings Towing. Shame on them!
I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and I highly recommend it!
I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. I went for dinner with five other people at 6:50 PM, and there were hardly any customers there. We were told there would be a 20-minute wait, but while we waited, two couples arrived and were seated immediately. When I inquired about the wait, I was informed that there was only one waitress available to serve our group. I noticed several staff members gathered behind the counter—why couldn’t any of them assist us? I told them we wouldn't be waiting for 20 minutes and decided not to give them our business. We left and headed to Mayflower, which was also short-staffed, but the waitress promptly seated us. Our waiter was fantastic and earned a $26 tip. In the future, we'll make sure to call ahead to ensure there are enough staff members who are willing to help us. Seafood is expensive enough without dealing with unmotivated employees. Too bad for them—I'm relieved that $120 didn't go to you.
