The Black Horse - WIRRAL

We hosted a 70th birthday celebration in the conservatory and opted for a simple buffet. The food was delicious, tasty, and exactly what we were looking for. The staff at the Black Horse were all very friendly and accommodating, making our celebration extra special. We have visited the restaurant several times now for different occasions with both family and friends, and have had dinner there as well. They are truly fantastic and we highly recommend them.

We were two couples in a group of sixteen. Both blokes had black pudding starter and beef Wellington mains and the ladies both had prawn cocktail starters followed by salmon en croute. What beautiful meals. Black pudding on a rosti wafer with perfect crusted egg (split to show runny orange yolk) and light mustard sauce. Huge prawn cocktails with King Prawns, crayfish, avocado, lettuce and sauce. Individual beef wellies with golden pastry, creamy spud, veg and red wine gravy. Delish. Salmon and stuffing again golden crusted and complemented by mash, broccoli and dill. Lady diners delighted. Great staff, great staff and a great laugh for all. Well done 'The Black '.

Nice pub, lovely staff and owner and fabulous surroundings. Haven’t eaten there yet but the food smelt and looked good and I hear it’s very nice . Will be coming back.

Great new menu with Lamb shank, tasted fab, great fish and chips lovely pint of lager. Must mention the new beer garden too. Top marks!

Very pleasant staff, nice atmosphere, good location and lovely terrace with hidden garden. Worth to visit and enjoy peaceful location with friends and family. Highly recommended!
