El Taco Loco - WISCONSIN DELLS

Good hole in the wall (literally) taco restaurant. There are only two tables and a nook seating area for dine in. Prices are pretty high in comparison to some of the other restaurants in the area. $4.74 for one steak and cheese taco. I believe the nachos were $13 but you got a large plate full which felt was more worth the money. Respectfully, I would not recommend going to this restaurant. It’s expensive they don’t offer chips and salsa with your meal. My order was out in less than five minutes so that tells me that nothing is fresh. The meat was cold and very dry, and had an odd taste to it. They don’t use fresh cheese they use plasticky cheese slices that stick to your teeth.ended up paying fortyish dollars for a quesadilla and three tacos and rice and beans. Also, there a green and red sauce they give you is a spoonful portion and taste like absolutely nothing zero out of five stars do not recommend. The service was decent. The store was kind of small but overall nice.

Music was very loud inside and out of the building. There are flies everywhere and even a wasp. Salsa was some of the worst I've ever had, it very watery and sour. Carnitas tacos were bland, but the sauce made them a little better. In fact, their spicy, hot, and regular sauces were the best items on the menu.

I travel all of the US for work and this place has the best tacos hands down of any place I’ve been. Even compared to NM and AZ this place is by far superior. I would give six starts if

Overall it’s ok. My take out order was the quesadilla loca and cheese quesadilla. The cheese quesadilla was maybe 1/3 the size of the loca which is bizarre and the loca quesadilla is best described as “wet.” The whole thing fell apart unless you suspected it in the air by the edges. We also got a green and red salsa with it and both the mini containers were 1/3 full so you barely get a few bites worth. Maybe the tacos or burritos are better?
