City Diggers - Wollongong

Order meal, was recommended to wait 20 minutes. 45 minutes later. I'll wait. Now his 50 minutes. Okay, food pretty good, but we're not gonna be back.

Bistro/cafe situated in the Wollongong Diggers Club on the corner of Burreli Market St Wollongong. I have eaten here regularly and have always found the food fresh plentiful. The staff are always welcoming friendly. We have no hesitation in recommending this conveniently...located club bistro facility.

The restaurant offers delicious food with a diverse menu and daily specials listed on a blackboard. Despite being located inside the 'Diggers Club', the prices are not as high as typical club prices. The restaurant can get quite busy with regular local customers. The service is excellent and the dishes are made with fresh ingredients.

Always find the staff pleasant. Meals are usually well presented and the choice is varied enough. Dining area is clean and pleasant.

We arrived at City Diggers for a brunch meal at around 11am on a Sunday. This restaurant is very busy so we be wary of waiting for a table when arriving. Although there was only the two of us so we only had to wait 15-20minutes. Once we sat down and ordered our coffees & food the wait continued. Our coffees arrived quite quick although as they were so busy the food took longer than expected. The staff are very lovely and you can't complain with a sea view. But a heads up on the wait for food would have been nice as we ended up waiting for food for almost 40 mintues.Pancakes are delicious with the yummy sweet ricotta.
