Bidra med feedbackI was just in portillo a few times, I don't live close. this sloppy burger dripping everywhere. I needed a handful of paper towels to present my hand and my face. I'll be honest, I love it! this biestburger was loaded with taste and I could hardly finish it because it was so filled. looks like many other funny things to try on the menu. the atmosphere gets an a . it is a very unique thema that draws more than the competition attention to detail. continue the sloppy burger portellos!
Visited several times in chicago. so happy to have a portillo closer to home. Italian bark, hotdogs and shakes. cake shakes are supposed to die and will probably be what literally kills me. great food and great atmosphere. definitiw on the costly side, but it is worth looking for to treat each other once in a past.
It's been a past since we stopped here. my son and I stopped to an early dinner. the place was practically empty. I ordered a sharp chicken sandwich and my son ordered the hot dog meal. eating was in order, nothing super exciting, but no big complaining. the price for a sandwich and hotdog seemed quite steep, but it seems as if the prices had risen everywhere. can be back in a few years.
Standard for the brand. the staff had no time. waited for 5 minutes to order, while 3 employees played / laughed at their phones. loved the inner of the place.
Beefy heaven! Like many of the other reviewers, I was born in IL and have always jumped at the chance to stop at Portillo's for Italian beef whenever I'm back in the Midwest. Happy to see that they're expanding and opening more restaurants throughout the country. These buildings are huge, with most having ample indoor and a bit of patio seating. There is nostalgic Chicago decor and memorabilia and an old fashioned car nestled above your head as you walk to the order counter. You order, they give you a number and you saunter over to the pick up counter after picking up your condiments, plasticware, and napkins. For the love of all that is holy...get ALL.THE.NAPKINS. Feel free to fashion yourself a super cool bib out of one while you're at it. ; You'll thank me later. Big menu= big confusion? No worries! Sides that rock are the fries with cheese sauce or the yummy onion rings. I didn't get one this time, but the chocolate cake and shakes are delish. My kids like the chili cheese dogs and my husband was a huge fan of the spicy chicken sandwich. However, if you're a newbie, you must try the Italian beef with extra gravy (AKA beef au jus , add cheese. If you're feeling saucy, get it dipped. If you're feeling spicy, add peppers. Fast, hot, and a flavor explosion...heck yes!
