Chan's Fine Oriental Dining

Plates of food are huge- could feed two people. Good selection. Service was great. Atmosphere is interesting. Was advised they do comedy night and other events/soon to find out.

The entertainment is fantastic at this place. I have seen at least 4 music groups perform here. However, I would not recommend eating here. The Chinese food is the worst I have ever tasted. It is almost inedible. It is surprising because this restaurant has been around for a long time and is a great entertainment venue.

If you have never been to this restaurant, please be aware that it may have a bad smell and appear dirty (technically, it is and needs a thorough cleaning). However, the food is not bad and I recommend trying it for yourself to see if you like it. Just be mindful that if you are allergic to dogs or fur, you may want to avoid this place, as I have witnessed an employee sneaking a dog into a back room. In my opinion, if a place is not pet-friendly, it should be a safe option for people with pet allergies. Apart from that, it's a hit or miss experience each time you visit. I suggest asking the wait staff for recommendations if you are unfamiliar with the menu, as they know what's fresh, safe to eat any day, and delicious. It was extremely salty, but ok. The waitresses did a great job, considering they were understaffed. John Chan kept walking around to be sure everything was satisfactory. Maybe he should have remembered his roots and helped out a bit. Helping should never be beneath an owner.

Absolutely the worst Chinese food I have ever had the displeasure of attempting to eat. Perhaps in 1905 the Food was prepared properly, now however it tastes like it was poured out of a can and microwaved. Chow Mein ????
