Oak Barrel Tavern - Worcester

I used to really enjoy Oak Barrel Tavern, but my husband and I have become ill after our last few visits. After dining in-house, we experienced food poisoning almost immediately. We thought it was a one-time issue since we had eaten there many times before without any problems. We waited about six months before trying again, this time opting for DoorDash, but unfortunately, we got sick again shortly after eating (and we ordered different items than we had before). We gave it another attempt a few months later with a pick-up order, but once again, we ended up feeling unwell. After three separate occasions of getting sick, each with different food options and ordering methods, we've decided to stop going to the restaurant. It's a shame because the food is tasty, but it's just not worth getting sick over.

The service was exceptional, the food was delicious, and the drinks were great. We ordered burgers, and I had mine with a gluten-free bun, which I found to be even better than those at Fix, in my opinion. I highly recommend this place; it’s clean, and the food is fresh. You should definitely give it a try!

This was my first time here in quite a while. I ordered a burger and tater tots, and both were excellent. The bartender was fantastic, and they offered a great selection of craft beers as well as domestic options. My wife tried the meatloaf and absolutely loved it. We will definitely be coming back. The portion sizes were also just right.

Ordered the boneless sweet chili tenders via online. Took almost 45 minutes to make. While my coworkers called and ordered theirs on the phone and it took half the time to make. Which doesn’t make sense whatsoever. Came out to $15 for only 6 tenders which is a little outrageous price wise. Tenders are decent though which is a positive. Will definitely not order online with how long it took.

We stopped in to see what it was like we drove by it many times on our trips to Worcester. We had a nice meal. Basic food, a decent drink menu. All the people we interfaced with were nice. The server was nice and the food came out quickly. Moderately priced. I had the ribs, wasn't crazy about the sauce but they did fall off the bone. Plus they had tatar tots.
