Bidra med feedback(From Rhonda Boyce) I just want to comment on the female bartender with the cute ponytails. She really knows her stuff! She recommended a delicious drink for my friend me for our first round. For the second round, she made one of the best frozenmargaritas I've ever had! And the kids enjoyed the Shirley Temple she made for them. We are looking forward to seeing her againnext year if she hasn't gone back to Tennessee yet
This place was probably once thriving. We ate here because the hotel gave us some coupons to appease us since the air conditioning in the room was broken. There were 3 tables with guests. Service took nearly an hour for 3 appetizers. Food wasfine (wings, flatbread pizza and scallops wrapped in bacon), but SLOW.
Located just off Highway 222/422, you can spot the Reading Inn sign while driving, but it would be helpful if they had a billboard indicating which exit to take. The restaurant at the Inn has a pub-like sports bar ambiance, complete with extra TVs, but on non-sporting nights, it can be quite charming and relatively quiet. They offer takeout for anything on the menu, and ordering the daily special is often a smart choice as it typically saves you about $3 compared to other entrees. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the food is great. The interior has a lovely old German-style construction feel. The waitress was very friendly, prompt, and attentive. The Caesar salad was the best I've ever had! I will definitely return!
The service was awful. We waited over 20 minutes just for the waiter to come and take our order, and then it took more than an hour for our food to arrive, which was undercooked. There was a table of three waiting for their bill and maybe ten people at the bar. We were informed that the waiter was very busy and couldn't take our drink order.
I had a great experience during my one-night stay. The location was convenient for our plans, and the breakfast was pleasant enough to make it enjoyable.
