With a view of the cerulean water, and the soothing waves against the shore, while eating some fresh food; this place is absolute paradise. We were staying at Catalonia Royal Tulum next door and took a walk along the beach to La Playa. We got seats right away, with tables right on the beach, the smooth, fine sand under our feet. The menu has a lot of options, but It was a hot and sunny day, so it was perfect for some ceviche and aguachile. We got the pulpo ceviche, and camarones aguachile. And of course, 2 fresh coconuts! Even though we got the small serving of the ceviche and aguachile, the portion was plenty to share between the 2 of us. My eyes lit up when I saw the heaping platters of ceviche and aguachile. We were also brought a basket of chips and a side of lime wedges. I especially enjoyed the aguachile, as it was particularly refreshing on this humid day. The mix of the cucumber and the chilies, and cilantro and onions was a great balance with the prawns. As I sipped my coconut water and savoured my delicious food, with the ocean breeze and the breathtaking view, there was nowhere else I'd rather be.

La Playa Xpu-Ha I am a frequently visitor here! My favorite dish is the ceviche! The road is private the family who owns it charges you 40 pesos per person, which you are entitled to ask for a refund if you spend more than 200 per person on the beach club. That is not hard at all, they have beach beds for rent available and you can also take any of the tables free of charge. The food is very good! The quality is incredible and the prices are fair. The things to try are the ceviche, the shrimp tacos and the coco fizz.
