I've been to Chocolate drops in the past and they were SO unhelpful. (Wouldn't put the ham and cheese on seperate sides of a ham and cheese toastie so two small kids could share). Circumstances were such on this occasion we ended up here again. Well it hasn't improved. Customer service is still poor with little enthusiasm from the kids on the counter. Food was overpriced and so basic that and untrained toddler could have produced it. Tiny portion of supermarket quiche plus basic salad $12.50. They have a captive market and really don't care. Stuck in a time warp including leaving Christmas decorations on show.

My wife and I both had milkshakes on a very warm morning visit. These were cold, flavourful and just about the right consistency, a score of 8 out of 10 from both of us on the milkshake-ometer!We have eaten here on past visits and were not greatly impressed by the quality of the food which we found to be mostly shop bought despite the 'homemade' impression the cafe seeks to impart.The staff seem to have an marked aversion to smiling, which is a shame given that they work in such lovely surroundings. Closing time is now given as 14:30 which is odd for an establishment that purports to do afternoon teas!

We were having coffee only during this visit. The place looks like a cafe and shop, also got some cake and snacks offering. Maybe there is limited choice in the park, this tearoom was quite busy even on a weekday. We ordered flat white and cappuccino but they are both disappointing, just like milky water, lack of any coffee flavour. Later on I went back to the counter and just want to get some water. Another server, a mature lady was quite unfriendly and asking me if I have ordered any coffee or food or not. Of course I did and told her we just had coffee. She's still seems not believing and told me she would bring it to my table. A bit rude and first time such bad experience in a cafe.
