Orion Cafe - YANCHEP

As a local resident for 17 years, I can confidently say that the Orion surpasses its previous tenants in every aspect—service, atmosphere, food, and exceptional coffee. Aside from the two South African ladies, Caroline and Barbara, who previously ran the café with remarkable energy, nothing about the Orion leaves me dissatisfied. The modern beach-style furniture, local artwork, and world music create a perfect backdrop for the diverse mix of locals and visitors. Thank goodness the old management is gone! I can't wait to return and enjoy this wonderful experience again. If the Orion's vibe isn't for you, that's perfectly fine; it has plenty of fans!

After a disappointing experience a few weeks back, we decided to give the café another shot because of its great location. We were pleasantly surprised; the service was friendly and prompt, the coffee was good, and the food was decent for a small café, although a bit pricey for what you receive. We will definitely give it another try!

I wish they would take the time to clean up the location. It has great potential with its fantastic view, but the dining experience can be quite inconsistent. The portion sizes are small for the prices being charged, and the tables are often dirty and not well maintained. The staff is very friendly, but they always seem to be busy. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere as 3 out of 5.

I ordered a mocha in a cup, for which I paid an extra charge. After waiting 20 minutes, it was served to me in a small glass. When I asked about it, the staff simply said it doesn’t come in a cup. The service was terrible, and I won't be returning.
