Ankyun - Yerevan

I will find all the dishes that I find ingenious: Beetroot salad, taragon and grape salad (uva e estragone), broccoli salad, lamb and red bean as main, pizzas are also quite good.

We were looking for comfort food, and for us Italian is comfort. Ankyun’s food is outstanding; I had the Spaghetti Pinoli (pine nuts and lemon) and my wife had the Penne Carbonara. Both were delicious, fresh and handmade. For desert we shared the hazelnut torte, also handmade. The service was excellent, and the wine list offered numerous choices, and we shared a bottle of Hin Areni dry red wine that paired perfectly with our meals. I have to give Ankyun my highest recommendation.

It was my parent's Anniversary. Lovely place, dishes were very delicious and staff were very kind. We had a great time.

Ankyun is hands down the best restaurant for a steak in Yerevan. It transcends fine dining an entity of gastronomic pleasure all unto itself. It isn't an Italian restaurant, but rather a place where the chef has studied under the finest Italian culinary artists, and happens to place in Yerevan. I've spent a lot of time in central Italy (Lazio) and the food prep, ingredient sourcing, ideation of dishes; all is perfect. This recommendation cannot come highly enough. Also, the staff is always friendly and attentive. Just one thing their corking fee is high, so it's best just to order a bottle of wine there, and they always have a great selection of wines. Staff can speak Armenian, Russian and English without issue.
