Bidra med feedbackI love Furai chicken but will not be coming back to this location. Ordered crispy chicken and soy chicken for $42 and got 7 small pieces of chicken. Driest and lukewarm chicken I ever had. It taste like they literally just microwaved what was left. There was only one person working there when I got there, so maybe that's why? But I think they can do much better than to serve 7 driest chicken for $42.
Amazing fried chicken! Definitely worth trying and seeing for yourself. It's on our family's rotation for take out.
Its the good and bad of food prepared when it's ordered. It takes time to get served and if they are busy you can expect to wait a while on your food. On the other hand it's freshly made. The price point for fried chicken is also a bit on the high side so be ready to pay up when you order.
Submitting my first Yelp review. I use Yelp regularly, but just didn't want to carve out time to do these myself, until now. I've had great experiences at many amazing businesses and restaurants deserving of 5 star reviews.. and I'll get to those. Tonight, I was inspired to create a Yelp account and write about this place. What a disappointment! I'm sure I've been disappointed worse, but this one got me. Here are photos of my Furai Signature Chicken Whole Size for about $30 including tax. I took a photo to show how measly the pieces are. The breasts and thighs were the size of wings. It's hard to see the scale, so I took another one to compare the size of those whole chicken pieces to ketchup packets. Now if you're thinking we were getting quality over quantity, unfortunately that wasn't the case. The minuscule bits of meat on those fried up, tiny chicken pieces were overdone and dry. Had to chew them (extensively) with a beverage just to swallow them down. Maybe we got unlucky, but would you pay $30 for this? Excuse any typos. Writing this in a hurry so I can get to In-n-out and order more food.
I wanted to like this place, we're new to the area and thought maybe it would be a hit with the yelp reviews. We ordered the half and half k Jung and sweet/spicy chicken. The K Jung came with actual chicken, thigh, leg, with meat on the bone. My sweet and spicy was just a bunch of scraps that may have been left over from other orders. I say that because mine came with no thigh, leg, or breast. I got a lot of the crust and glop. The flavors are good but overwhelming with all the honey and sugar, it was a bit much. The batter is crunchy and bomb, so I was really disappointed with no actual chicken. I tried calling, they do not answer the phone. I am going to try to get some of my money back, I really felt duped.
