Eagles Nest Event Venue - York

The food was good, but not great. I love the location and atmosphere. They have nice outdoor seating! For the price, I'm rating it 3 stars. If the meals were $10 less, maybe 4. They should be using fresh local produce in season. The house salad was just ice berg lettuce and could be upgraded. All five of us got seafood meals which were okay. Last time I was here (many years ago), I had the beef sandwich and that was delicious.

Calamari was hot and it came out fast. The fisherman's risotto was amazing just like previous visits. If you are looking for a nice place to be, this is the spot to be at! 10/10 Recommend

I have taken my mother and grandmother here for Mother’s Day last year and had an exceptional experience. Though, after recently visiting again for lunch the food and atmosphere was great, though the service was HORRIBLE! It was late lunch time so there were only 5 tables with no more than 2-3 people at them, and service was not good. We never were checked on as we ate, and waited 30 minutes after eating to still not have our server check on us. At 35 minutes we got up to then ask for our check, which she responded she would get it to us. We watched our server and other employees sit at the bar eating and drinking. 45 minutes go by and we get up and ask for our check again and paid. Wish I did not have to leave this review, but if this is considered satisfactory customer service, that is a major disappointment.

Been coming here for years and didn’t realize they had lunch. It definitely didn’t disappoint. The shrimp tacos were delicious and the live music was a plus.

The place is nice and the view is lovely but you couldn’t mess up our dinner much more. The chicken Chesapeake was full of filling ands the asparagus were very stringy. The grouper was water logged and mushy and the crab on the grouper was flavorless and the sauce was bland. My misses got the filet and with crab and again the crab was flavorless and full of filler and the steak was tough, way overcooked and without flavor. Oh and the calamari was really tough which is a sign of poor quality. My first drink was correct but the second drink was coke instead of ginger ale. The server was pleasant and it wasn’t their fault but the hostess was very rigid and seemed irritated. I’m not sure how this place landed a 4.6 star review. They must be buying their reviews. For $200 I will definitely go somewhere else. The fries were really good.
