Restaurant Real - Zürich

My family went to the restaurant real on December 14, 2019 for dinner. Food quality and service were both good. we enjoyed our dinner very much.

We had a business lunch in teal. the place is popular and busy, they seem to have several regular customers who know the cook and vice versa. the atmosphere is beautiful and there is enough private sphere. my filet was excellent, especially compared to other places. in zürich. the service is very friendly but not fluent in German or English. the price is certainly upper level, also for zürich, but acceptable given the top quality of food.

Really good, qualitatiw high quality Spanish food. they get what they expect, lots of meat (the calf meat) and fish, classic appetizers and desserts. High-class wine selection, they will surely find a bottle to make them feel good (and their friends). space can be overfilled. and if busy, there is not much space in the restaurant. the room is on the narrow side, if you have the number of tables/seats, not very comfortable. Unfortunately, the place feels as if not much has changed since decades (but it may be so). I personally think it would be time for a refreshment at the end it is a more affordable place, also for zürich. and while eating (and the wine selection) is important, the restaurant atmosphere is not. Moreover, it is simply completely outdated that the guests can smoke in the evening later.

The restaurant was very popular with bigger groups that night, which made it very crowded and loud. The service was nice but they messed up the timing of our food and wine orders. This resulted in some dishes turning cold. The tapas were very good...and reminded me a lot of the food I eat a year ago in Valencia. Also the mains were very good. Most of us had the filet but not all were happy with the way it was cook based on the placed order (medium-rare and so on). The waiters were very friendly and they really tried to stay on top of all the orders and the amount of people they had to serve. All in all the food was good and I would go back for another dinner but probably not on a Friday night.

We went to Restaurant Real as a group of 5 friends on a Saturday night . We were lucky to have a table, we made a reservation on the last minute. Maybe it's because the restaurant is not right at the downtown. The menu has...enough of choices. The portions are perfect. We ordered 4 different fish and they were all delicious and very well presented.
