Parkway House

Have eaten at the original Parkway House in Harrisburg 100s of times. Worked in the area till retirement Always great food and service. Since retiring I've tried 20-30 times to eat at Albemarle location where I live hoping it would improve. Not once have I been satisfied. The place is very clean though. Very small portions. Wait staff is constantly changing n slow and it shows. Waiters don't have enough customers to stay busy n make money. So why should they care. Side orders in those stonewear bowls is not warmed adequately. Butter won't even melt in mashed potatoes. A cold hvy stoneware bowl takes the heat out of 2 to 3 ounces of sides before they get to table. And yes I've actually measured the contents. Happens repeatedly. It actually looks like Pete is just buying his time till lease runs out. Believe me Albemarle needs family restraunts so so bad and have for years. I wish it would be bought out n improved. Really surprised/disappointed. Pete's apparently given up on that location. I've left my name and ph# with staff 6-8 times addressed to Pete for a call but have never received a response.

Love going here for breakfast. Everything I've had has been great.

Food was not bad at all and the price was decent. Overall, not a bad experience

I was recommended by a co-worker so we stopped on our lunch break I had the flounder with fries and coleslaw the food was hot and fresh just how I like it the only drawback was that the fish and fries needed season and the coleslaw taste like it was just made and had not marinated because the mayonnaise flavor was over powering. Sorry no photos I only had 30 minutes left on my lunch break. But I will return again
