Bidra med feedbackWe had been waiting for months, with anticipation, to stop here. We rented the Boathouse a bit up the loch from here and found this spot while researching. Upon entering the shop, we realized how tiny it actually is. But don't let that fool you. It is packed with not only an amazing selection for food, but quite a nice little convenience shop as well! The food was absolutely delicious. We are by no means experts on Curries, but wow... The food is ready to grab, in little frozen packages. The menu is well displayed and super easy to figure out what you'd like. This place is a real treasure to the local community, as well as those vacationing in the are. Well done!
Very authentic curries in a place you would never expect to find them,,,take your freezer box with you as the curries are frozen for you to heat up later.fantastic place
Absolutely amazing find. It’s a must if you’re nearby. Recommend the chicken tandoori, the flavours were lovely and even though the dishes are frozen they are so tasty. Absolute gem of a find!
We were staying a Loch Aweside Cabins, and on the drive in we spotted the sign for Blackrock Curry and immediately hatched plans for a Father’s Day curry. We found the website and were amazed at the range of dishes exciting. The following day I emailed in my order, thinking I was back in Newcastle…..Please realise this isn’t a curry take away like you may be accustomed. Instead, I drove up and popped in. The best bet. The food is all freshly cooked, but frozen on site I didn’t realise this but believe me it tastes as good as any sit in I’ve had. Great food. Really great. I opted for the Parveet Karee sensational. Spicy. Rich. Full of mutton. The wife went for the Sangangdita full of flavour and chicken, and mild. We had the bajii and chicken Karachi to start, with the Karachi super hot and meltingly soft chicken thigh. 3 naan breads, papadoms, and pickles finished off the £24 order. A great discovery. We’ll worth the trip if you are near. But be prepared to heat it up from frozen (45 minutes). Very tasty though, and a real treat in the middle of nowhere.
Great little find! Good selection of curry's and sundries. You need to heat them up yourself when you get back. It was very tasty and we would use then again when we come this way.
