The Towne Tavern - Averill Park

Burger was good, wings were fine. The atmosphere is beautiful. Parking is terrible, the lot can not even come close to receiving customers.

I do not know where to begin to say how terrible our experience was, although not overcrowded long wait to be welcomed; Waitress was friendly, but the food was a very long waiting period and came almost raw and unusable. We sent him back and the bill was reduced, but we never go back.

2 pizzas ordered Sunday afternoon. 1 cheese and 1 extra cheese and pepperoni. I'm waiting to dig in the extra cheese, all hot and gooey. What I got was cold hard cheese (not even extra cheese), and carton crust. I know the pizza was restored, so I called to talk to the manager who assured me that the pizza was fresh and made to order. So not only the food was terrible, the manager didn't tell me the truth.

Great food in a cozy, laid-back setting. We had to wait a little for service after seating ourselves, but once our waitress arrived, she was fantastic and the food came out promptly.

The food can be a bit heavy and might leave you feeling a little queasy. It's a great spot for a beer, and their wings are really good.
