Bidra med feedbackLarge quantity of delicious Indian cuisine. The hot option is really hot so eater beware. It has wonder file flavor but it astronomically spicy. The regular is how most patrons should enjoy it but they do offer a mild alternative which is nice for the faint of heat.
Food was delivered to our table just as ordered. Each dish was spiced as requested. The food was some of the best Indian style food we had at any restaurant in a very long time. I wish we lived here to be able to order take-out regularly. Now the service... The service was sub par. The wait staff was too interested in their conversations to care about their guests. Empty glasses, plates from previous course left on table, and even getting the check and paying was a chore. This was my first visit so I will go back to give them another chance. If you like Indian, go for the food and if you get good service, BONUS!
This evening I had the Non-Vegetarian plate. It’s a combo with Curry Lamb (or Chicken) Rice, Naan bread, Curried vegetables and some other small dishes. It was very good, I really enjoyed it!
Had the Mixed Grill, great meal more than I could possible eat and very tasty. I would have it again and recommend it to anyone who’s going there to eat!
The ambiance is simple yet comfortable, with 8-10 four-top tables that can be rearranged to suit your group. During our Wednesday night visit, the restaurant wasn't too busy, and the lone staff member provided satisfactory service. At the end of the meal, you settle your bill at the counter. Plus, if you check in on Yelp, you can enjoy a 10% discount! Now let's talk about the food—it was fantastic. The Vegetable Samosas were a highlight, with a delicious filling of seasoned potatoes, onions, and peas bursting with flavor. The fried pastry shell was perfectly crispy, complemented by excellent mint chutney and tamarind dipping sauces. The Chicken Korma was equally delightful, served over rice and reminiscent of southern comfort food. I ordered mine with a medium spice level (3 out of 6), and it had a pleasing kick to it. The Garlic Naan was perfect for soaking up the rich sauce. David L opted for the Sheek Kabab, which was impressive as well—served on a sizzling plate, reminiscent of Mexican fajitas rather than the expected skewered meat. It’s a dish I would highly recommend. Overall, the portions are generous and the prices are quite reasonable, making Sitar a great dining choice in the area!
