Iron Stag - Boerne

We received immediate assistance from the staff, who were incredibly helpful. I enjoyed the baked prosciutto and mozzarella from the appetizer menu, which was served on a bed of arugula—almost like a salad. My wife ordered the spinach salad but felt that the dressing was missing something and that it could have contained a bit more spinach. For my main dish, I chose the rainbow trout, and I absolutely loved it. The trout, cooked with garlic butter and capers, was perfectly moist. The asparagus on the side was tender without being soggy. My wife opted for the jumbo shrimp wrapped in bacon, and there were so many that we had enough leftovers to take half of them home. Overall, we definitely plan to return!

This is an incredible restaurant. It has the charm of a rustic hunting lodge, but offers so much more. We ordered the Grilled Prosciutto as an appetizer, which was large enough to serve as a light dinner for two. Although it's a new establishment, both the service and the food felt well-established and reliable. We weren’t disappointed at all. We find ourselves returning as often as we can. It’s a bit pricey, but definitely worth it.

We had the pleasure of eating here with friends on Thursday night. We were all very satisfied with our food and service. One person got the mixed grill, two the chicken Alfredo and I got the Jumbo Shrimp Brochette. All meals were great as the Zeasar salad and house salad. We also appreciate the quiet atmosphere as we could actually have a conversation that is not the case in many restaurants. The prices were reasonable. When we were the last, we had the opportunity to meet the owner/cook and talk to him and his manager son. Good evening. We're coming back!

My husband and I have been eating here every week since their opening. We really enjoy the ambience of the old restaurant and the special attention of the staff. We love the food and cocktails. Prices are fair and comparable to other upscale Boerne restaurants. I'm glad you're Iron Stag!

We've eaten here a couple times and have always been impressed by the food and friendly atmosphere. Not to mention the building is amazing! It's so rustic and beautiful. Definitely would recommend to our friends.
