Shawarma District - Calumet-Norvelt

We ordered the shawarma bowl. it is way different than an authentic lebanese shawarma dish. It is more like chicken and rice with different toppings that you choose from the counter. the place has a shawarma grill machine but you are served from chicken that is kept on an over the counter warmer that looks like it was pulled from a chicken and not sliced.they served curly parsley in big chunks that make the chicken and rice bowl difficult to eat.

The Zaatar fries are AMAZING! Loved chatting with the owner. Definitely a great, simple place to get a solid Lebanese dish for lunch.

Unexpectedly, the best chicken shawarma sandwich I 've had in DC! Dare I say, it almost compared to the shawrma I 've had back home.

Update your holiday hours, no one wants to ride all the way out just for closed doors

Came here with coworker and got the chicken wrap. It was very good. I loved every bite and would come back again. Next time I'll try the bowl.
