Latella Gelato - Carolina Beach

It is so nice not to have to wait to get from the state to Virginia or even Miami for some homemade gelato! It is so convenient on the beach promenade and they have new flavors daily! This is the new wave! Very clean location and wonderful staff.

Nice and clean, conveniently located on the Boardwalk. Lots of delicious choices including Gelato, ice cream and coffees! I gave them only 4 stars because they quit running the blender at 8pm. Photo is of a large Dalgona (whipped coffee). Yum!

Loved it! Eating DQ Blizzards my whole life is was like the end of the world when I realized I had problems with dairy. For years I have been unable to enjoy my favorite indulgence, but not anymore! Places like Latella Gelato are becoming more popular to offer non-dairy treats for those of us who crave “dairy fixes”. They offered 3 different varieties of flavors. I chose the salted caramel flavor. It was very good! Great texture and made fresh every day! Great place for me to visit when I’m on that side of town! I’d for sure sing for Latella Gelato! I’d even write them a free jingle for lifetime supply!

Lovely place but I not sure in will survive once the season starts there is limited choices compared to the other places. They need to add a unquiness factor. Be more prominent about the coffee. They might be the only place apart from Britt's where you can get coffee on the broadwalk. Also maybe add a topping bar along the window. add topping price and allow self service.

This place offers more than just gelato. They have a variety of hot and cold drinks, popcorn, chocolate, and beverages suitable for those over 21. Inside, there are tables and chairs, which is a relief since the boardwalk can get quite warm. It was lovely to unwind with our drinks there. I tried the magic lemonade, which tasted as good as it looked, along with a delicious frozen hot chocolate. Next time, I’m definitely going to sample some of their many gelato flavors!
