Bidra med feedbackThe stew has a very nice soup base and the fried mushroom is heavenly! Excellent service provided too! #Veganuary
The restaurant offers an extensive two-page vegetarian menu, making it a great option for groups with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian friends to dine together. While the prices may be on the higher side, it is worth it for the variety of options available. It is appreciated that the menu now includes allium-free options based on feedback, though it would be helpful if they also indicated which items contain egg and dairy. Among the banchan side dishes, it is noted that kimchi and spicy cucumber contain alliums, while beansprouts and spinach are allium-free. I ordered a selection of vegan and allium-free dishes, with my favorite being the japchae. The other items I tried were the vegetarian hotpot, rabokki, mixed salad with tofu skin, and fried mushrooms. The restaurant has also introduced a new vegan BBQ menu, which I believe is the first of its kind in Singapore. Overall, a positive dining experience with a good variety of vegetarian options.
I absolutely love the food at this restaurant. They recently introduced a vegan BBQ menu and I had a great time enjoying the food, experience, and service. I highly recommend trying their BBQ, Vegetarian/Vegan Jjigae, fried mushrooms, and many other dishes. Let them know about any dietary restrictions you have, such as no alliums, and they will customize your meal for you. This update is from a previous review posted on July 30, 2022.
Gumgangwon offers a diverse vegetarian menu with a special vegan BBQ selection. Some items, like bulgogi and pork belly, contain alliums, while others, like tofu and mushrooms, are allium-free. The staff was accommodating and knowledgeable about dietary preferences. The banchan side dishes include allium-containing options like kimchi and spicy cucumber, as well as allium-free choices like beansprouts and spinach.
