Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

The restaurant has a distinctly American vibe, featuring friendly staff, quick service, and very affordable prices. I visited for lunch and enjoyed it so much that I returned for breakfast. I tried their fried chicken for lunch, and I can confidently say I won't be getting fried chicken anywhere else again. You receive a generous portion at a great price, and the chicken was delicious—perfect in both texture and flavor. Breakfast, on the other hand, was less impressive. I don’t recall exactly what I ordered, but I went with family who all chose different dishes. When we finished, we all agreed we’d rather return for lunch than breakfast. Overall, it’s a pleasant, all-American spot for a family outing.

5/28/22-We tried ordering the watermellon limonade but we were told that they had ran out the previously week. Every time we try to order something that they are offering seasonally at any Cracker Barrel they always seem to be out. This isn't happening just now due to supplychain issues, but was happening even before covid. They can never keep the right amount of stuff they need in stocks. Once we had ordered our drinks we waited so long for them that we nearly left because they were not that busy. Once we order the food we were surprised by how quickly it got to our table, but the food was cold like they had big batches that they were just serving out. My mom's grits were so cold the butter wouldn't even melt in it. My chicken and dumplings were bland and just glue. If they would add some type of seasoning to the batter it would also help a touch with the texture. They only good part of our meal was the peach tea. Just a disappointing experience and would not recommend to any one.

We didn’t get waited on for over 10 minutes then when we got our food it was cold, hard and not fresh. The chicken tasted like it was cooked yesterday and was put in the microwave and served to us. Even the Fried okra tasted like it was a day old. Our food wasn’t even served to us on a plate like everyone else our was served on baskets and little side dishes. I will not be returning to the location at all.

Stefan our waiter was Very cordial, and he was prompt. The food was Amazing, but the biscuits could be a little bit softer. Also, Christine, I hope I am spelling her name correctly, was Very prompt in helping us with a Beautiful quilt. Over all, Loved my first time here. Oh, and didn't need Any seasoning at all. I had the Fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, with string beans...

The staff was friendly, and the store was clean and well-maintained. The brunch was fantastic. However, I was extremely disappointed to find that there were no Christmas decorations or items in the storefront. We were traveling across the country during the week of Christmas, and Cracker Barrel is a holiday tradition for me. Walking in and not seeing any festive decorations really let me down.
