Purple Onion - Colorado Springs

We had lunch at Purple Onion one day. From the outside this does not look so much and it is somehow dark. But the food is pretty good. I had the beef Kafta Kabob and my wife had the Chicken Kabob. We were both happy.

Thank you to the couple that paid for my meal to the owner for free drinks! I got the lamb gyro on rice. The delicious Turkish rice was well worth the wait!

My husband and I popped in on date night for some dinner, and really had no idea what to expect other than Greek food! When we walked in and heard a DJ and saw people gathered at the bar but no one actually eating, and no smell of food, we were a bit worried. However, we were pleasantly surprised! The service was friendly and fast and the food was some of the best Greek/Turkish food we've ever had (including IN Greece and Turkey! ! I had a bowl with falafel, rice and salad, and my husband had chicken kabobs with rice and salad. Both meals were fantastic, filling and great proportion sizes! We will definitely be going back!

Good food...gyro (plus feta) and fries. Ask for the hot sauce; pretty hot and very good. fries were crispy and right sized. The staff was friendly and helpful. I went for lunch on a Monday but the place looks like a good hang for an evening out with your boys/girls. The bar area was just some some bar stools but looked like a proper good time Would like to see it on a Saturday night Cheers!!!

I’m so glad I found this place! I walked in just moments after they opened for the day and felt a bit guilty for eating lunch so early. But the owner was incredibly friendly and took my order right away. My gyro salad arrived in just five minutes, and it was delicious!
