Bidra med feedbackI was here for brunch and dinner. The cook makes food from this world. Just amazing. They certainly do not skip to portion sizes. Super friendly, family-run and operated. What else could you ask?
TLDR: The food is delicious, well prepared, and inexpensive. Their hours are limited, but it is one of the best breakfasts you will find in Drexel Hill Upper Darby. Full Review: We stopped by this spot on a whim and could not be more pleased. The place is family run by a local couple and they put together a genuine gem of a breakfast spot. They're menu is well focused and the food quality is incredible. As an example, both my girlfriend and I ordered the same dish which came with grilled steak. We each ordered a different cook of the steak (medium and medium rare). Each steak was cooked perfectly to the order despite being served at the same time. That's really hard to do. The next talking point is the price. We were a party of three and each ordered dishes on the upper end of their menu price. We ordered an extra side, a cup of coffee, and iced tea. Our total bill came out to be under $43. Diner prices for center city Philly cafe quality food is pretty mind blowing. Finally, the people who own and run the place are the main highlight. They're locals themselves and give attentive, friendly, and personable service. Some of the peppers in a compote we got were actually grown in a local community garden which we learned because they were proud of it and told us themselves. There is plenty of street parking and it's also right off the 102 trolley line. Their hours are limited so you should check online or call before stopping by, but you should not miss this brand new local treasure.
A very welcome addition to restaurant options in Drexel Hill. We went for brunch and the food was excellent and interesting — some reasonably familiar items (like the delicious stuffed French toast we had), and some unusual options, like the “Spanish Jawn” I had — red beans and rice, thinly sliced steak with chimmichurri sauce, fried onions, two fried eggs and tostones. Totally delicious. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and when one of our items was delayed, the chef came out to personally apologize and let us know he’d comped the item. Excited to have a unique local option and looking forward to going back soon.
This is a quaint little place. The service and food were very good. We started with the empanadas, they were very good. Then had the pollo guisado which was also very good. We finished off with dessert and coffee which was excellent. We can't wait to go back and try their brunch.
Went to Brunch there on a Sunday, and the bacon was delicious and the homefries were unbelievable. Highly recommended!
