Alexander's Cafe - Elkins Park

The service is impeccable. Very good ambience for a mother and pop shop. Food is very tasty and tasteful.

I can't believe the value for money at this restaurant. The main menu primarily features Eastern European cuisine, but if that's not your preference, they also offer options like burgers and salmon. However, it's the specials that truly stand out. The chef's creativity shines through in dishes like Thai curry soup, Cornish pasties, risotto, or just a perfectly cooked steak. Personally, I nearly always choose from the specials. Their desserts are homemade and delicious too... There is no table service.

We've been enjoying meals from Alexander's for years now. We really appreciate that it's a local, family-owned restaurant that serves dishes that are fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. My husband and I are grateful for all the accommodations they make to ensure that we’re happy, especially with small children. We recently celebrated our son's birthday party there, featuring a mix of all our favorite dishes from their menu, and it was a huge success with both kids and adults. The owner is a lovely and friendly woman who takes great pride in her kitchen.

We have always enjoyed excellent dinners at Alexander's, a cozy family-owned restaurant near Elkins Park Station. The Polish plate, pierogis, and Hungarian goulash are all outstanding. I've heard that the fish is also fantastic, although I've never ordered it myself. In the summer, please make sure to bring the cold Polish beet soup, chlodnik; it's a favorite of ours!

This is a cozy little restaurant on a quite street. It is well decorated, but most importantly has fresh and flavorful food. The Hummus plate is a great starter to your meal or a great light dinner. It is bold, but well balanced. I hope to try the entire menu during date nights.
