Bidra med feedbackI had a bad experience at this restaurant. The do not take reservations but if in route they will put your name on their list. We called in advance but arrived and were not on the list. After waiting longer than indicated on arrival we were sat. Over 10 minutes went by where our waiter Jarod did not show up. When he did he brought water, but did not take drink orders. When he took food orders he did not take drink orders. He was slow on the food, never refilled drinks, and didnt bring foods included in the order. Everything was late/slow even when we were the last group in the restaurant. I told the manager about the service issues and he said he would deal with it but I got no apology. I wont go back.
If there was less than 1 Star I would give it that! Ate there the other evening $48 for two people for the Crab cake meal. Red Lobster has a much better Crab cake meal for less than half the cost. Effort to pass it off as a unique dining experience is a joke. They are located next to a dump so much for a seaside like setting! You would do better buying frozen seafood and thawing it out yourself!
We visited with a group of friends on a Thursday evening, and unfortunately, many of us had to select different dishes than we initially wanted because several items were out of stock. To be honest, the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. We were quite disappointed, as I’ve never experienced a restaurant running out of so many menu items before. However, our server was very friendly, attentive, and genuinely apologetic about the situation. The dinners we received were enjoyable, and the decor in our seating area was lovely. Still, they need to focus on ensuring they have enough menu items available for their guests rather than just the ambiance. I might give this place another try to see if this was just an isolated incident or a common issue.
If I could give it less than one star, I would! I dined there recently, and the crab cake meal for two cost $48. Red Lobster offers a much better crab cake meal for less than half the price. The attempt to market it as a unique dining experience is laughable. The restaurant is located next to a rundown area, which certainly doesn’t provide a pleasant seaside atmosphere. You’d be better off buying frozen seafood and preparing it at home!
To be honest, we received the certificate as a prize at a social event, but that shouldn't matter. I explained that using a gift certificate is the same as laying cash on the table, and that it only covers the bill while leaving the tip up to me. The manager insisted that too many customers were not tipping based on the value of their gift certificates, so they adopted this policy to automatically add an 18% gratuity regardless of the level of service provided. I asked the manager to remove the charge from my bill, but she refused. I found the service to be acceptable—neither outstanding nor poor—but if I had paid with cash instead of a gift certificate, they wouldn’t have added 18% automatically. So I fail to see how using a gift certificate should change that situation. The restaurant isn’t terrible, but it’s not impressive either. You’d think that gift certificates and coupons would be beneficial marketing strategies to attract customers, yet this policy effectively diminishes the value of the offer by forcing a tip. As a customer, I should have the freedom to leave a tip of my choice, whether that’s nothing or a generous amount. Due to my experience with the manager, I don’t plan on returning. The food was fine, but nothing special. It's a local spot—certainly not a dive—but don’t expect too much.
