I was searching my local area for a custom birthday cake for my wife and had no luck during this pandemic. Upon searching google I found Grateful Bites. I decided on the Bananas Foster Cake which looked fantastic. I reached out to GB to see if they could make it for her birthday through their limited schedule. With a quick response they politely said yes! I picked up the cake and it looked EXACTLY like the picture, it was fresh and was absolutely delicious! She was very happy with her cake and it made my wife's birthday that much more special. Please read their website pertaining to their focus and freshness of ingredients. It was 100% worth the extra travel in my case. Thank you Grateful Bites!
I have a chance to eat at Grateful Bites yesterday. I loved everything about this place! From the way we were greeted while walking, the wonderful food, homemade gluten-free bread, how wonderful the place is decorated... All meals are prepared by people with special needs. The people who started this business and what they really stand for my heart! Make the effort to come here and eat you will love it!
Brand new on the tamales menu. Had a pair, a chicken and a bacon. Grateful Bites smokes their own bacon, and it was a surprisingly good tamale filling. Smoky and porky, no bad substitute for carnitas or other traditional meat for the dish. The food is always good, the desserts are amazing, and the restaurant has a mission that goes far beyond just cooking and baking. I also enjoyed the conversation I was. Live music on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, with local actors who also have their time to support this wonderful place.
