Bidra med feedbackThis was our third stay in the abbey resort, and each time we were looking forward to the breakfast at 240 west. this time the sky sat there with my wife and watched how the snow came down, as we ate!
The dinner was great, had the four cures on Friday steak and lobster special. very filling and delicious.
The service and eating were excellent. my table had the woof soup (which was not over salty! and the filet medallions with parmesan risotto and crispy cale was divine!
Good evening we had reservations for 240 west at 19:30 clock the waitress piper was terrible. she was rude to one of our party because of her meal. she was not happy with her meal and piper did not try to improve dinner by trying to change dinner. Instead, she gave the gast a small amount of cream for her pasta and it did not help the pasta was pasta dish to be fixed or exchanged for another plate. that seemed no option. piper then goes to another lady in the party to thank them for not asking for separate controls. I didn't understand this comment. 2 women had nothing but veggies and were very sick after dinner. the cod was very salty. only 1 person had a good meal this evening. we do not go back to this restaurant
Food quality has gone down significantly with the exception of the shrimp cocktail. As always, Tom on the piano was wonderland and Jack, our waiter was hysterical with his jokes and perfect! We’ve been coming as a group for close to 20 years. The Parmesan Risotto was gummy and I sent it back. No one at our table liked their Prime Rib and barely ate it. The steak medallions were “meh”. We all agreed a better steak dinner could be had at Longhorn for half the price. We’ve all served at high end steakhouses in Chicago so we know what we’re talking about. The ambience and service are always top notch at 240. No need to respond with the standard “thank you for your input, blah, blah, blah”. Feel free to give an honest and true reply to me privately. Thank you.
