Douglas Diner - Fredericton

I absolutely love the fish and chips at Douglas Harbour. The portions are generous, the fish is moist and succulent on the inside with a crunchy batter on the outside. I also adore their gravy, which doesn't taste like flour as it does in some other restaurants.

I ordered the turkey dinner and the turkey was extremely dried out and hard as rock. I couldn't chew it and could barely cut it with a knife! It was supposed to come with a potato and vegetable, but they were out of vegetables. My husband ordered a club sandwich and the meat was tough too. We both woke up in the night with cramps and diarrhea. The bathroom was so dirty that my shoes were sticking to the floor and there was some sort of a large hair ball stuck to the foot petal on the rusted old garbage can. This was our first time trying this diner and it will be our last. I think it should be inspected.

My wife and I stopped here on a whim. I had the best cheese burger platter I've had in ages. Really good! So was my coffee! Will go back! Hope you give this place a try, it's worth it.

This lovely little country diner is becoming the heart of the community....stop in anytime for home-style meal at a great price. They will even consider adjusting your order if you ask nicely. I added bacon and tomato to my grilled cheese sandwich....YUMMY!

We went for a Sunday lunch and one of us had the daily special: a hot turkey sandwich, and the other the fish sandwich. Servings were generous. A little sparse on vegetables; string beans and a tiny coleslaw cup with the turkey, nothing other than the fries with the sandwich. We finished with pie; a choice of coconut cream or peanut butter graham. Both were to delicious! The prices were very reasonable and service was good! We'd certainly go back again.
