King Street Ale House - Fredericton

We had not been to the Ale House since it moved to its new location and were very pleased with the food and the service, which were very good. They have a lot more room , especially at the back and it would be a good place for larger groups.

Just recently visited this location and I was pleasantly surprised! The food was awesome and the beer was going down nicely. You also have the option to sit on the deck!

My friends and I visit this place all the time for drinks and snacks. Doug the owner always has time to say hi and that makes a difference in my mind. Lots of craft beer and fine hard liquors to try. Highly recommended venue.

My chief complaint is about the service. It was terrible. Our original server was nice but she wasn't the one who delivered our food. When the food was brought, I was handed my plate (rather than it be placed on the table in front of me). When I hesitated to take it (I really shouldn't have to take it from her), she said "take the plate". I was aghast! If I wanted to handle my own plate, I'd go to a buffet. And the fact that I was ordered to do so almost ended our evening. I really want to support local restaurants and recommend them to people. It's hard to do so after an experience like that. I'll give them time and then give them another try. But, I'm not pleased.

After 5 years of living in Fredericton, we finally had the chance to visit the Ale House on a date night. We were able to sit on the outside patio which was lovely (a bit noisy from traffic, but no fault of the restaurant). We both really enjoyed our meals - especially the buffalo ranch sauce that went with the chicken! The first few beers that we chose from the beer menu were unavailable but we enjoyed what we ended up getting afterall. Our server was efficient and pleasant, but we found him incredibly hard to hear and had to ask him to repeat almost everything which made us feel bad. Thanks for a nice evening out!
