New York Fries - Fredericton

Again I was in the mood for a fresh cut french fry. It had been a few years since I last ate here, but I thought I had finally quenched my craving. But the fries are no longer the thick, fresh cut fries that they used to be. They look and have the texture of a Wendy's french fry. They cooled and lost the flavour quickly, something that a food thick fresh cut fry does not…. I have always found the fries here a little over priced, but at least they were delicious. Now they are over priced and not very good….. I will not be getting french fries from here again. :

Ordered a large fries in November, from the NY Fries in the Fredericton Mall. Stood there waiting, and watched the fellow cooking scrape out the basket. There were scraps on the top, and when I got back to my table poured them out, and there were loads of scraps in the container. They also were barely warm. I returned to the counter, and explained that these were not up to par, and the other person who took the order said that 's what NY Fries look like, and I probably hadn 't eaten NY Fries before. Well, I have in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and before in Fredericton. After about 5 minutes of abuse, he told the cook to give me another batch, and when he plonked them on the tray said here 's your scraps This order was totally different, fresh, no scraps, and hot.

The food at this restaurant was awful and too expensive. It was a complete waste, I do not recommend eating here! I ordered two hot dogs and a small order of fries, and was shocked to see the total cost. I was expecting it to be around $6-8, but it was actually a whopping $15. The hot dogs were mediocre and served on stale, store-bought rolls, and the fries were burnt.

I was not impressed with the main course at the restaurant, but the French fries were tasty. The prices were fair considering the variety of dishes available.

We have been here 3 or 4 times. I always found it more on the expensive side. Last time we paid around $20 for two regular works-style portions and drinks. I am sure that I can eat better for the same price.
