Tailgate Barbecue - Glenside

LOVED THE BRISKET! I'm waiting for them to open today. I can make an order. Had ALOT from menu items, but that was my favorite. The ribs were no longer mentioned. The owners were also super friendly.... Make your experience much better, I'd say.

Placed an order for catering a family party and they did a excellent job. The food was superb, especially the ribs. Everyone at the party commented on the quality of the food. Beats sweet lucys or any other Philly smokehouse I've tried. Great job guys!

Unexpectedly, the chicken was another standout. It featured a jerk-style spice rub that gave it a delightful kick, with just a trace of heat that pleasantly surprised me. As for the beef brisket, which is usually my favorite, it was decent but not remarkable. It had a nice bark and was tender, but it didn't stand out compared to other places I've tried. The beans were reminiscent of my mother's brown sugar beans, which I enjoy with a little ketchup and a dash of vinegar. These beans were not overly sweet, although I would have preferred a touch more brown sugar; still, they were better than what I've had at most other restaurants. I'm not usually a fan of mac and cheese unless it’s truly exceptional, but here, the mac and cheese was surprisingly good—possibly my favorite dish of the visit. It could benefit from a bit more cheese and maybe some panko topping for added texture. Overall, I highly recommend the pulled pork—I would return just for that alone. Next time, I might also try the bacon and pulled pork tacos, which sound enticing!

I can't believe no one has written a review for Tailgate Barbecue yet! We dined there before a show at the Keswick Theater. I ordered the Pulled Pork plate with baked beans and mac and cheese, and everything was fantastic! The portions were large, the service was quick, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and the homemade snacks. I also tried the crumb cake, which was delightful. I'll definitely be back!

This is one of those incredible restaurants that exceeds all expectations. I visit every Sunday to enjoy the ribs, which are my absolute favorite! They have an amazing flavor, perfect consistency, and are cooked to perfection. If I could give them six stars, I definitely would. Thank you for the fantastic meal!
