Maswik Food Court

Had a salad here after our walk. Reasonably large salad so we could share it with two people. You can put together your own salad. We asked for tips for the salad, but the lady barely responded. You would say that someone who makes salads all day might also have ideas about what is tasty, but she responded rather bluntly. Salad itself was tasty.

The taco salad was very good, and big enough that my wife and I shared one for lunch!

The Taco Salad with Chicken was very good. The pancakes and potatoes were okay. The pizza pub looked promising. Cold beer was good. But pizza was not--similar to supermarket frozen pizza.

For a food dish this was a great option on the rim to find food... We had a little lunch with bagels and salads. The food was cheap because it was there in the village, and the staff was very friendly. The tables were kept clean and we enjoyed our fast lunch.

I don't know if it the long, cold winter hikes out of the canyon or what but after the last two canyon trips I have hiked, the pot roast is all I want when I am climbing back up an icy Bright Angel Trail. Breakfast is fine. Nothing special but a decent start to the day. The coffee is pretty good, though,and that is what I want out of breakfast anyway.
