Golden Chick - Helotes

I really enjoy her spicy package. The chicken is delicious, and the mashed potatoes remind me of the ones I had at school (back when the food in schools was actually good). The location is excellent too. The customer service is consistently great, with friendly smiles and a "thank you" that can brighten a tough day. This Golden Chick has it all!

The first time. Excellent chicken. Fried chicken was better than most, and crispy without exaggerating. The price was very good. Go back.

The fried chicken and the butter roasted chicken are always spot on. The corn nuggets are incredibly flavorful and hard to resist. We found the Cholula crispy chicken sandwich with mac and cheese to be just okay, but my wife and I agreed to try it again without pickles and with regular mac and cheese instead of the Cholula-infused variety that Eloy recommended. That sounds appealing to us! However, the jalapeño poppers were a bit disappointing—they were hollow and lacked melted cheese, though they were somewhat tasty. We both think we should stick with the chicken soup next time. Today’s rolls weren't as soft as they usually are. On a positive note, our 6-year-old ate for free from the kids' menu, as children can eat free on certain days and times. Overall, it's a great place to dine, even if no menu is perfect!

The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was delicious. The portion I received was impressive. The chicken strips were so juicy that I didn’t even need the sauce that came with them. I definitely plan to return for more!
