Bidra med feedbackShould be 4 or 5 stars because this is a really good restaurant that I have loved for years (because it was kyoto), but they must earn this at my next visit. ok, the good. the eating was really good and our chef was great. it was just my young daughter and I at our table and she got a good show. our server has done good work overall. They're not so good now. we are here on Friday at 14 o'clock. They were not almost empty at all, but it took 5 minutes to sit around us and another almost 10 minutes for a server, although there was a dozen teenagers standing around, not chatting much of something out. they had not made any ingwer dressing on the salat, so my choices either wait until they do something or get up (which I did). ordered an avocado roll possible to make the simplest sushi and had to wait 15 minutes. I was in the restaurant business, and I know that if they are overwhelmed during a dead time, it is hard to keep all busy, but I think they would have made a better job to prepping for a Friday night (the busiest night in any restaurant). for $67 I expected a higher service level. I hope the manager reads this and has a conversation with his/her Friday night shift.
We waited 40 minutes for our food. Waitress said they were behind making Sushi but Everyone got their food and drinks while we waited. The bartender was bartending, delivering drinks and food he was amazing. Food was fresh. Would not return.
Not sure why this restaurant only rated 3.5 stars. Had a 45 minute wait for a table, which turned out to be more like twenty minutes. During pandemic with a short staff, you really shouldn’t complain about anything. If you feel the need, then don’t go out to eat. Brandon was our server, and what a great server he is. The service was awesome and the food was spot on,. Five stars all the way. I had to tell Brandon that in twenty years if marriage, this is the first meal out that my wife did nit have one complaint. Next time I have the pleasure of passing through Hernando, MS, I know where we will be eating.
We got take out sushi once, they failed to include soy sauce. More recently we had family dinner dining in. I pretty much had to watch everyone else eat because my sushi took so long, everyone else had finished eating and was ready to go, so I had to take it to go and eat at thw house. Not much other option in town
I always came here and then because it is more local and good enough for me to not justify going on. but on my last visit was our server the manager, and it was not a good night. first it was a Friday night and they were pretty busy, which is completely in order and expected. the manager for the night was our server. we ordered two hibachi meals and a sushi roll. 15 minutes after the order, our sushi had not arrived yet, we said it was almost ready. 10 minutes later our hibachi meal arrived. there was a piece of plastic in our rice, the manager gave a $5 discount, but really, I would rather not have a plastic in my rice. Our server/manager has not even checked us 20 minutes after the drop of our hibachi once again after I had finished my meal, although we could often check it out on his larger tables and went right ahead. our sushi finally came after 10 minutes after the question. overall there was no good night; and I could forgive and forget whether there was a server with a bad day, but if even management exists that bad service, I think I will take the ten minute drive to another restaurant from now on
