Saloon - Iowa City

The staff is friendly, and the menu is unique—I’ve never had a bad meal there, no matter how many times we visit from Clinton, IA. The bar is stunning! Their queso dip is irresistible, and the fish tacos and chicken Marsala are excellent! There's also outdoor patio seating where you can enjoy the live music in the area.

This place has fantastic food and drinks. It's my top pick for hamburgers in Iowa City, although they are better known for their southwest cuisine. As a native Texan, I absolutely love the Old West decor. They also offer wonderful outdoor dining options. The owner is very welcoming, and the staff is great. Plus, they have board and card games available to enjoy!

I love Saloon. The staff is fantastic, food is even better. Nothing is too crazy or out of control. Drinks are responsibly priced. Wait... Too many people may like this it get too busy. It's awful! Don't go! You'll hate it.

We ate outside so I can't say much about the decor. Food was excellent. I tried the Fish Chip Wrap, which sounded really interesting to a Brit. It was very spicy and way different than any fish and chip combo I'd eaten before. Definitely a treat for my taste buds. I'd highly recommend it if you want to try something different!

I absolutely adore Saloon! The staff is amazing, and the food is even more delicious. Everything is just right—nothing feels chaotic or overwhelming. The drink prices are reasonable too. Wait... I'm worried that if too many people discover this place, it might get too crowded. That would be terrible! So don’t go! You won’t enjoy it at all.
