Zachry's Riverhouse (no Reservations)

A 56th birthday dinner last night turned out to be a Gilligan Island 3 hour tour. Went based upon recommendations from friends. Food was adequate once it finally came after another long wait. My wife and I quickly noticed that the waitresses all looked exhausted. The blonde young girl who was the hostess was also cleaning tables and moving chairs doing multiple jobs…she deserves recognition and I’m sure she sleeps well at night. She was complemented on her physical work ethic as a young person and told her I was impressed with her. More teens need to take note and watch her work. The first impression was average. If I return to Jekyll, unsure I can withstand the long wait (mainly for our food) as we were told the sit down wait was an 1 1/2 hours which were prepared. Arrived at 7:10 pm and left at 10:04…encourage you all do make adjustments.

Had the fried oysters and shrimp. Cooked just right. Had shrimp cocktail for starters with hot butter and hot buffalo sauce and it was great. Great service and good drinks.

True dining experience. Say outside looking over the Marina. The food is excellent, definitely recommend eating here.

Excellent location but a victim of its own success. As had wait +30 mins and servers running around looking too busy. Effect on the clients.Still very good food and value for money. Just rather frantic and staff equally so.

Food and service are the best this is one of my favorite places to eat
